Today was a good day to be in Castle because there were so many things happening! In the morning I stopped by Drama I and Drama II that were busily practicing their scenes for Final Shows. In the afternoon, the cast of Peter and the Starcatcher performed their first dress rehearsal in the wonderful costumes made by the Costuming class that was busy setting up their quick change station in the brand new Costume Shop. The Set Crew was also working on the false proscenium that will be framing the stage for the show.
When I wasn’t in Castle, I dropped by Tennis to cheer on a round of the Counselor-Camper Tennis Tournament, and then headed down to the docks to aid the Would-Bes who were teaching kayak rolls. Afterwards I stopped by Arts and Crafts and marveled at their newest project, painted mugs. I stepped over into Stained Glass for a bit and was very impressed by the pieces the campers are making.
After a hearty bag supper, we all headed over to Movie Night in Castle. Tonight’s movie was Camp Rock which really got the campers excited for the end of the session. There’s nothing quite like ending a good day with a good camp movie sing-along.
