Today couldn’t have been any better; the sun was shining, the lake was clean (thanks to all of the campers picking the lilies for decoration), and at the end of the day, we all came together for one of the favorite evening programs. In the morning I dropped by the tennis courts to evaluate the Ace classes’ serves, and then to King Arthur’s Court to watched Tumbling tumble on by. Next I slipped by Castle to peek into auditions for Director’s Showcase and then made my way down to Ceramics to help the class with wheel-throwing. You would think that furry paws like mine can’t do much with clay, but mythical creatures full of folly are also full of surprises. Later I hopped on down to the docks and was able to congratulate two talented campers who passed the Stern level in boating. I made my way up to Castle to check in on the play rehearsal—Peter and the Starcatcher really is starting to sparkle! Tonight’s Evening Program was Lip Sync Battle, an up-and-coming camp favorite, and the teams of counselors really pulled out all the stops tonight in their marvelous mouthed performances. With guest appearances from Ethan, Kelly, Bolling, and Drama Staff, as well as the five teams that competed for the glory of winning the first lip-sync battle in the new Castle, the staff went above and beyond in their entertainment. In this Tajar’s humble opinion, it was the perfect way to end a perfect day.
Hoping for more days like these to come,
Tajar
