Today may have had gloomy weather, but spirits were high here at Merrie-Woode. This morning, I visited the canoeing and sailing classes down at the docks and watched them practice their sculling, even in the drizzly weather. I then made my way up to King Arthur’s Court which was bustling with activity, as the Tennis, Archery, Landsports, and Tumbling classes were all occupying the space to escape the weather. On top of their games of Twister, Uno, table tennis, and the somersaults and cartwheels of the tumbling class, All-Day Wall Day was having a grand old time climbing the wall. I scampered up some courses myself and then made my way down to the Bang Shop where Jewelry was making beautiful spoon bracelets.
After a lunch where we celebrated six birthdays (wow!), I hopped over to the Nature Nook to talk with Farm and Garden about the plants that are growing in the garden by the lakefront. The plan was originally to water them, but nature is doing that for us today. Tonight’s Evening Program was Minute to Win It and the Green and Grey teams had a terrific time playing games and competing for camp-wide fame for the night. The evening ended with a Dance Party and a beautiful rendition of Taps in the new Castle.
