The days seems to be going by faster as we get further into the session, but Thursdays always make me pause and enjoy the moments just a bit more. This morning I visited the archery field and sat in on a few rounds of practice. I’m not so bad an archer myself, but I’d much rather watch the campers practice and improve than prove my own skill. After some time, I made my way up to the Nature Nook to talk to the Earthworks class about safe camping habits. It is very important to me and all the other woodland creatures—mythical or not—that we all leave no trace and do no damage whenever and wherever we set camp.
Today was Pizza Thursday, so for lunch after the Superman prayer we all dug into the pizza pies that the JCs so graciously made in the morning. In the afternoon I visited the docks to see H2O Games play some sharks and minnows and on my way to knitting I caught up with the campers who had just returned from the 2-day hike. Boy, did they have stories to tell.
The Evening Program tonight was Movie Night, and, from the sounds of it, the choice to play Moana was a good call. Castle practically shook with excitement and song throughout the film, and after all of the campers departed and the popcorn had been swept up, I couldn’t help but whistle the songs as I made my way back to my tree-top bed.
No telling how far I’ll go,
Tajar
