I love Merrie-Woode Sundays. They are always full of joy, mirth, good food, and good company. There is nothing quite like waking up to the mist on the lake and a table brimming with quiche and cinnamon rolls! Of course, a Tajar can’t live on just quiche and cinnamon rolls, but once a week is plenty good! At Chapel today, we had a special guest—Captain Rainbow joined us again to act out the story of the creation of the universe. Up next were Sunday activity announcements and there were some pretty adventurous choices, including hikes to Maiden Hair Falls and Iron Bridge, Zumba, Slip N’ Slide, and of course, the traditional Dam Swim and Old Bald Hike, which every camper must do before she becomes a true Merrie-Woode girl. By now, I must be a true Merrie-Woode Tajar fifty times over! After a long afternoon of activities, the Boating Staff Cookout rallied everyone for a rousing Holiday theme. Jim even came down dressed in tinsel and ornaments and wasn’t that a sight! To end the day, we had quite an exciting Campfire, during which we were visited by our blue friends, the Avatars. I have a suspicion they were just the oldest cabin, Bum’s Rest, playing a trick on us, but they almost had me convinced. Now to bed for this sleepy Tajar!
