Today was quite a freeing day! I started down by the barn and spent some time watching the Drill Team practice their drill. It is ever improving and I always enjoy seeing the teamwork the campers share, even when they are astride their steeds. Afterwards, I stopped by the Earthworks class at the Nature Nook and hid in a bush while they discussed fire code and fire safety. I sure am glad that there is an activity for campers to learn how to protect my forest home! After a hearty lunch and a quick nap, I set out to the docks, and swam along with the synchro class, which is perfecting their aquatic choreography. Having a tail certainly does deter from the gracefulness of the art, but I managed to keep up most of the time.
Tonight’s evening program was a very special surprise guest… my good friend Captain Rainbow! The campers had a blast dancing to the classic dance party songs after his performance in King Arthur’s Court and I wouldn’t be surprised if it took a bit longer to fall asleep tonight after all of the incredible fun we shared. I will save my balloon hat for another day to inspire the same folly and frivolity we shared tonight.
Until then, Tajar
