There Was a Farmer Who Had a Llama….

2017_06_06And B.I.N.G.O. was his name-o! Today was another busy day, filled with special guests, exciting trips, and even some furry friends. The llamas were here all day and provided the Earthworks and Farm and Garden classes a great opportunity to run around and learn about the animals. At the same time just across the Waterfall Field, all through first and second activities a group of campers were climbing away on the High Ropes course! I always love sharing the tree tops with my camper friends—it really does give a different perspective. Mountaineering also took a trip up to the Snakes course at the bottom of Old Bald’s rock face, where they climbed all morning long.  This afternoon, as the llamas continued to prance around, the cast of the play began to block their show and the advanced ceramics class began wheel-throwing. The name is deceiving—unfortunately there is not much throwing of wheels in wheel throwing, so the tire that I brought remained unused. Tonight’s Evening Program was BINGO! I could tell, even from all the way across the lake by the shaking Dining Hall, the Brights and Tights that shone through the windows, and the singing that could be heard from miles around. I bet all of camp will sleep very well tonight, ears ringing and faces beaming.

From under the stars,

Tajar
