Calling all Merrie-Woode Young Alumnae!
This year will mark our 10th annual Young Alum Challenge, a special online fundraising effort during which we raise money to support camperships for the upcoming summer. The funds raised through the Young Alum Challenge give young women, who otherwise would not be able to attend Camp, the chance to experience the joy of Camp friendships and a summer under Old Bald.
Over the past 9 years of Young Alum Challenges, our young alumnae have raised over $180,000 for camperships. This extraordinary feat shows that when our young alumnae work together for a common goal, they can achieve amazing results! For this year’s Young Alum Challenge, we are challenging our alumnae, 40 and younger, to raise 4 camp tuitions over three days, plus the additional goal of having 250 young alumnae donate. Our goal is $20,000, the total cost of four camperships (one for June and Main Session, and two for August Session). If we reach this goal, then on our 10th anniversary of the Young Alumnae Challenge, we will have raised over $200,000 for Camperships at Merrie-Woode.
Gifts of all sizes are important to the challenge! With our goal of 250 donors, a donation of any amount helps us reach our goals.
Each year we continue to make the Campership Program better and more comprehensive. We want to make sure that our campers have everything that they need to be a part of the Merrie-Woode family. Your donations make Merrie-Woode a more inclusive community than ever before.
The fundraiser begins on Wednesday, October 11 at 12pm ET and runs through Friday, October 13 at 5pm ET. Young alumnae include all those age 40 and under, but of course, anyone is welcome to participate in the challenge!
