This morning after a very eventful breakfast where the oldest cabins pranked us all by decorating the Dining Hall in The Greatest Showman theme, I joined a Farm and Garden class as they scavenged for eggs form the chicken coop and made some yummy omelets with the ones they found. I hopped up to the Tennis Courts to see what the players were up to and I found them having a swell time practicing their swings and steps for their final class. Down in King Arthur’s Court I ran into the group of campers participating in a triathlon, which was comprised of running, swimming, and climbing. I waved them off as they hurried to the lake to complete the second portion of their race. On the other side of camp at the archery field, I chanced by an archery class that had not one but three bullseyes within the course of five minutes! They call it beginner’s luck, but after five weeks of shooting arrows I call it expert’s luck.
For lunch we had our final pizza day shenanigans, this time made even more special with the addition of ice cream. After a Rest Hour spent sleeping off the sugar, I decided to visit Jewelry and marvel at all of the beautiful creations that will be in the Art Show tomorrow. The earrings, bracelets, and pendants were all quite impressive. In Arts and Crafts the campers were finishing their bubble wrap prints and completing all of their other projects. Tonight’s Evening Program was Closing Night of Crazy For You for the lucky Knight campers, and plaque night for Pages, Yeomen, and Squires. I must say that this final performance was even better than yesterday’s, and I know I speak for everyone here when I say that I am so proud and astonished by the beautiful work of the campers on and offstage.
