Clik here to view.Every week Sunday rolls around as usual and still every week I am surprised by how sunny and special the day is. Today began with a delicious traditional quiche and cinnamon roll breakfast, followed by a special Chapel service where many a guitar, ukulele, and music class performed for everyone.
This afternoon, I followed around the campers who were scurrying off to their Sunday activities. I trailed behind a group doing a special Merrie Woode triathlon which included swimming, paddling, and running, as well as some members of the cast of Crazy for You, learning a bit of choreography up in Castle. By the docks, I splashed around with campers that were departing on the Dam Swim and I waved goodbye to another group that was on a trip to Brevard Music Center to see an outdoor concert.
Tonight, instead of our usual Campfire singing and swaying, Senior Staff surprised all of camp by announcing it was Tajar Night! Everyone dressed in their finest imitation of yours truly and gathered in Castle to watch The Greatest Showman with “broccoli” and pajamas galore. A great Sunday, to be sure!
The one and only,
Tajar
