I started out the day at Earthworks, where the campers were playing a game of high stakes scavenger hunt, which involved them running around camp finding evidence of poor hiking etiquette. On the Landsports field, I ran into a class playing an entertaining game of soccer and World Cup. In the weaving hut, the campers were hard at work putting the finishing touches on their chairs. In woodworking, the campers were also hard at work on their cutting boards, which they will be wood-burning elaborate designs into.
After lunch, I visited the docks to cool off in the heat and I ran into some lucky campers going to High Ropes and others going to Grimshaws! Sometimes I wish I too could go on all the amazing trips that camp takes out, but then I remember that there’s already so much going on right here that I would miss so much! Tonight’s Evening Program was PYSK, or Page, Yeomen, Squires, and Knights, the four age groups which all the campers are broken into and do a fun activity! The Pages were busy having cookies and milk while listening to Denice read Tajar Tales. The Yeomen were having a blast at the dock party. The Squires and the Knights exercised their pipes and sang a bunch of Karaoke tunes while the rest had a raucous dance party. It was a fun night for everyone, especially me, since I got to do all the above!
