Clik here to view.Today was certainly full of new and exciting things! I began my morning with a walk by Tajar to see what the campers in knitting were up to. I was impressed by the creativity of the headbands, herbies, and purses that the campers made. Similarly in Weaving, the stools, chairs, and pillows that were so dutifully crafted were truly a sight. In Arts and Crafts as well, the watercolors of the campers’ paintings were magnificent and made me want to paint a picture too.
In the afternoon I hopped down to Lily Pad to make some pesto using basil from the garden grown by the Farm and Garden classes. It was so delicious! In Castle I had to take a peek into rehearsal for the musical—I can’t wait to see it in a few weeks. I didn’t let myself have more than a few seconds to look in though, because I didn’t want to spoil the fun. As the evening rain rolled in, the lights in Castle dimmed for tonight’s Evening Program: Chamber Music! We had the pleasure in hosting a violinist and violist who serenaded us with the works of Mozart, Bach, and more. After a long day of seeing all of the campers show off their creativity, it was nice to soak in some more in the form of beautiful music.
With a lullabye,
Tajar
