What other way to start a beautiful Tuesday morning than with tootie buns and overalls down at the docks? Of course I have no such hair to wear tootie buns and my overalls hardly fit over me at all, but I still shared the sentiment with the counselors and campers that were wearing their best Tuesday attire. On the lake, the campers were having a mighty fine time in sailboats, kayaks, and canoes, as well as swimming and generally splashing around. To dry off, I popped into Jewelry to see what the campers in the Bang Shop were doing. They were all busy making stamped silver rings, which they gracefully showed off to me.
After lunch and a decidedly restful Rest Hour, I scampered up to the Dance Studio to see how far the tap dancers had gotten in their final shows routine. I must say, the twinkled-toed tootie-bunned dancers sure gave me a run for my money with my moonlight dolly-dilled dances and all! Before I got too carried away, I dropped by the Sewing Studio and helped out some campers with their headbands, scrunchies, and many embroidery projects. Tonight’s Evening Program was Mystery Dinner Night, which turned out to be a dia de los muertos themed dinner followed by a showing of the movie Coco! The food was delicious—especially the tres leches cake made exclusively for this occasion—and the movie was a perfect way to end this beautiful day.
Always un poco loco,
Tajar
