A turn in the weather provided us here with a beautiful day and all of the Merrie Woode girls surely took advantage of the bright sun and cloudless sky. In the morning, I caught up with the swimmers down at the docks. They were busy playing water games and splashing about, while the paddlers were practicing stationary draws and wet exits. All the way over at the barn, I ran into a few riders departing on the Lake Trail and I helped out some disc golfers with their swing.
Today was the first day of clean cabin ice cream sundaes, and since I always keep my little bed spotless, I decided to indulge along with the other exceptionally clean campers. After sleeping off my sweet treat during rest hour, I visited weaving where Millie was also paying a visit and accompanying the campers as they began to work on their woven chair seats. In stagecraft, the sounds of chop saws and pneumatic staplers kept me at a safe distance, but I waved to the campers who were in the middle of building the set for the musical. Tonight’s Evening Program was Camp Merrie Woode’s Game of Games, a take on the old favorite Minute to Win It that involved such games as Banana Nose Roll, Blindfolded Musical Chairs, and Cookie Face. The night was full of laughter and frivolity, the way all nights should be.
Sincerely and dearly,
Tajar
