Today was another beautiful day amongst the trees and mountains, even though I was a little sad that it was the final day of some activities. To celebrate the accomplishments of the session, I visited Ceramics, where the campers were pulling their final pieces out of the kiln and showing them off to me. In Arts and Crafts, the campers were putting the finishing touches on their canvas paintings and the knitters in Tajar were setting up their spread for the art show tomorrow. At the docks, I spotted some campers paddle boarding, taking advantage of the lovely day we were having, while others were having a splash sliding down canoe slides.

In the afternoon, I visited Earthworks, which was practicing cooking on an outdoor stove and making pancakes with eggs from our very own hens. In riding, the campers were passing their final levels, jumping to new heights on horseback, and hosing the horses off in the afternoon heat. Tonight’s Evening Program was the play, The Wind in the Willows, and the cast, crew, and staff behind the show truly did show off new Castle with their intricate set, amazing acting, and marvelous costumes impersonating all of my favorite woodland animals. It was quite a night and I was very proud of the campers for putting so much hard work into a magnificent show that blew the socks off my fuzzy feet. Here’s to more fantastic theater in the beautiful new space!

All’s well that ends well,

Tajar
