Today we had many guests at Chapel today and we were treated to a wonderful performance by Glee Club and Contemporary Dance of “You Will Be Found” from the musical Dear Evan Hansen.
The Sunday activities today included sliver-plating leaves, the final run-through of Peter and the Starcatcher before Opening Night tomorrow, Slip N’ Slide, a trip to Silver Run Falls, popsicle making, the Dam Swim, and the Old Bald Hike. Our daily shower became a downpour right at the time we were about to set out for the activities, but that didn’t stop us from having a relaxing afternoon all together. The theme of Cookout tonight was Slumber Party, so after the rain gave way we all dressed in our finest and most comfortable clothes and headed to Lily Pad to have burgers, and hot dogs on the Waterfall Field.
Tonight’s Evening Program was Follow the Gleam. The sun was setting just as the pageant began, and all of the oldest girls took on the roles of the knights of King Arthur as they told the story of his search for the Holy Grail. After the final line of the song had been sung and the final candle placed on the lake, we all stood on the swim docks in silence for a it, and reflected on the time we have spent and the time we have left.
From across the lake,
Tajar
