I absolutely love Sundays at camp. There’s always something interesting and new happening at camp, but on Sundays there’s even more happening! We had many visitors here at camp today which made me very excited. I love when the families of staff members join us at.
The Sunday Activities included trips to Chimney Top, Silver Run Falls, Grimshaws, and the top of Old Bald, as well as in-camp treats such as Flag Football, Slip N’ Slide and yarn spinning. At the end of activity time, the sheep were let loose with the campers to run around on the landsports field. What a sight that was—thirty campers running with two lambs hopping alongside them!
For Cookout we celebrated our beloved horse Froot Loop’s thirtieth birthday. The shindig, hosted by Riding Staff, served burgers, hotdogs, and the cereal for which the pony is named. At campfire we were visited by our friends in blue, the Avatar (which, I was surprised to see, were really the eldest campers dressed up in blue face paint). We all had a good laugh when they taught us their special song and the Campfire band decided to play along with them. Myself, I did my best to keep up with the beat with my twigs as drumsticks.
