Tootie bun and Overall Tuesday, my favorite! Not that I have any hair to make Tootie buns with, or that any overalls come with a hole for my tail, but regardless, Tuesdays are still grand! Today I wandered around up to the tennis courts for all-day tennis games! I got dizzy after watching the Queen and Jack classes bounce the ball to and fro for quite a while, but the merriment was entertaining nonetheless. There were some exciting trips out today, including the mountaineering caving trip, a river trip, and a new canoe trip to Lake Jocassee! I leapt over to the building named after me to visit the knitting, sewing, and ukulele classes, as well, but I was caught in a terrific rainstorm on my way there. Luckily, I made a beeline to King Arthur’s Court where I spent some time tumbling and playing H.O.R.S.E. with the archery, landsports, and tennis classes that escaped from the deluge with me. After a good drying and some cartwheels, we joined all of camp in the Dining Hall for some dinner, and then a special treat—a violinist and violist duo for chamber music! Tonight reminded me of a time long, long ago when Dammie first sung our camp songs in the very music-filled Dining Hall we sat in. I suspect I’ll have sweet dreams tonight, filled with Beethoven and White Coral Bells.
From the hills and the dales,
Tajar
