Another day of fun in the sun has passed and the session is just getting started! This morning was the inaugural use of Chapel for Castle and the sun was shining its approval over camp. Today, I visited the new Farm and Garden class and took a tour of the animals, including the baby chicks which are growing bigger every day. I jumped from tree to tree to archery, landsports, and the new Drama I class. So exciting seeing all of the campers jumping into their activities! Speaking of jumping, after lunch and a well-deserved rest hour, I moseyed on down to the lake where I spied the synchronized swimming class practicing their moves in the water. Those girls sure do know how to keep afloat in the thick of the hustle of the first day of activities! The evening program tonight was Deck the Counselor–consider these counselors DECKED. Although the program is typically held in Castle, tonight the newly improved King Arthur’s Court was used by all of camp! A congratulations to the brave campers and counselors who graced the mock stage for the first time! Now, as TAPS plays, all of camp can fall asleep to the sound of the bullfrogs knowing that Merrie-Woode is stronger than ever.
With sweet dreams,
Tajar
