What a day, what a day! The counselors came back from their campouts less than well rested after a night of frivolity, and the day started right off with some emergency drills and all-gather practice. The Summer Staff sure wants to start the session as prepared as possible for anything and everything that might occur! To help give them some pointers on what to expect this summer, a Parent Panel made of three mothers of June session campers took the time to talk to the counselors and answer their burning questions on how to make this summer as great as possible. After lunch, the counselors went over letter-writing tips, tricks, and techniques, and then the moment that was most anticipated throughout this week was upon us as the counselors were given their cabin assignments! I really thought I would get one this year, but it turns out a Tajar isn’t exactly qualified to be in a cabin–something about how mischievous mythical creatures full of folly are not equipped for leadership positions. Oh well, I’m happy for all of the counselors who are now moving into their cabins!
