Today was a quiet day for camp. With most of the staff on outings, I got to sit on the counselor deck and enjoy the beautiful weather we are having. Swimming staff nearly spotted me while they were practicing their first aid training. The water looked refreshing, but I keep cool by climbing the shady branches by the campfire ring. Mountaineering Staff hiked Old Bald this morning and had a lovely mountainside picnic. If I squinted, I could see them at the very top of the mountain. Riding Staff is on a trip, so they missed the arrival of our new chickens! It’s so very exciting to have new friends arrive. Drama Staff is out on a shopping spree, buying everything that Castle needs to put on a show and everything that the building named after ME needs to knit, sew, and costume all summer long. We’ve also been missing two very important people today at camp. Rumor has it that Jim and Denice are out picking up their new Golden Retriever puppy, Millie! I can’t guess who will be more excited, the campers, or the staff! Myself, I think we’ll be great friends. After all, who doesn’t like the Tajar? I’m unforget-forgettable!
From the sunny shores of Lake Fairfield,
Tajar
