Summer is finally here, and so is some of our lovely summer staff! Last Sunday from my tree-top perch I could see the cars driving down the camp road at 14 miles per hour precisely, signaling the arrival of our Boating, Riding and Mountaineering staff. Boating Staff has already gone out on many a river, and has been camping all week. The Mountaineering and Riding Staffs have been working on their certifications and having a blast on overnights. Drama and Swimming Staff arrive tonight, and I can’t wait to see what Drama Staff thinks of the brand new Castle! I think the new rafters will be the perfect spot to watch the rest of Orientation play out when the remainder of the summer staff arrive on Sunday. I’m so very excited to see all of the new and returning faces! During Orientation the staff will go over the ins-and-outs of camp. I would join, but it would be unfair of me to play along at Merrie-Woode Jeopardy because I know all the answers! While I am looking forward to Orientation, what I am MOST excited for is the first session of campers to arrive! Until then, ring the camp bell, because summer has begun!
