Thursdays are always a camp favorite. Between pizza for lunch, bag supper for dinner, and popcorn and Kit Kats (braces!) at Movie Night, truly, everyone wins! Tonight’s movie was Ella Enchanted! Ella was on a quest to rid herself of a lifelong curse, and in the process, fell in love and found herself. The best part of Movie Nights is when the girls cheer at the cutesy and romantic parts of the movies, as well as clap when the lead girl does something fierce. It’s like a live studio audience.
Today was awesome! We welcomed our girls back from their overnight trip to Lake Jocassee. We still have our 3-day-hikers out on the trails, but we can’t wait to see (not smell) them when they get back so soon! I sadly wasn’t invited on the Lake Jocassee trip, but one of our cameras was! The clear blueish-green water looked so beautiful contrasting against the softly peaked mountain tops. I was in awe simply going through the camera!
In camp, the daily fun and games persisted! Down at the Barn, counselors and riding staff were closely guiding and teaching girls different aspects of trotting and other riding intricacies. It was rather hot down there so Millie and I headed to the docks to go for a quick swim. We jumped in and went gunga diving together and then swam laps with some of the girls in swimming, and splashed around in the rolling area with some of our advanced boaters.
We also perused around camp to see some of the artsy and craftsy projects we have underway. I’m always so impressed with the ceramics projects and I wish my paws made for better hands on the wheel! But, I still get to see the girls’ awesome projects, which in itself makes me smile!
Play Reherasal was as impressive as ever. They sound more and more like old British men every single day. I can’t wait to see the show. I already have a mental countdown going!
There was a Caving trip today, and we can’t wait to share those pictures tomorrow! We also had a river trip go out and wow, do our paddlers continue to amaze!

Enchantingly,
