A Whole New World

You’d think that after Talent Night last night the bar was set pretty high, but our Lip Sync teams just raised it.  A night filled with crazy costumes, tons of energy, and some Disney classics absolutely rocked the Castle stage. But who’s surprised? They’re always excellent! We had four teams and from renditions of Broadway musicals to muppets, we practically saw it all!

Before tonight’s great showdown, we had a hot and fun filled day down in Sapphire! The girls at the Barn were grooming the horses’ mains and braiding their hair. They looked so so so pretty after their little makeover.

In Archery, the girls were on target today. Now that the session has progressed, the girls are not shying away from advancing in their levels. The better the girls get at arching, the further and further the targets move from them. But what challenge is a Merrie-Woode girl not up for?

I took a Tajar Tumbling class today. After stretching, of course, I learned how to do a cartwheel, a back walk over, and a front walk over. Human are weird and their bodies contort strangely, but, they are also super talented and flexible. I knew as soon as my paws hit the mat: I was out of my element.

I scurried away from Tumbling and headed to something more my pace: Tennis. The balls and rackets are so much easier to hold in my paws, and the girls in the class are so skillful, they have no problem showing me how to hit and pass! We played around on the courts for a little while before I headed down to the docks to cool off.

Today’s weather made for a great lake day. The ladies paddling and sailing on the lake had a wonderful time with today’s light winds and sunny skies. I hung around and watched girls continue to practice their landings and other sorts of boating things in the name of reaching proficiency. They looked good!

When I went to Woodworking, I had to throw on my Tajar Goggles to even walk around with all of the sanding taking place! Ear and eye protection are first on our list of priorities in the Wood Shop. The finalized projects of coasters and cutting boards and picture frames all look so good, and knowing that the girls made them on their own is even more impressive!

In the garden today, girls in the Farm and Garden classes pulled some pesky weeds and harvested their ready-to-eat veggies. The green beans looked so good; I know where I’m heading for my midnight snack tonight!

We ended the day’s activities in Play Rehearsal. It’s always such a trip to see a cast of young girls playing the Founding Fathers and singing about our constitution. The best part is, they aren’t in costume yet, so they look really funny in middies and ties reading their lines!

That’s all for today! Don’t forget to check out TODAY’S PHOTOS HERE! There are a ton from Lip Sync Battle. I’m not sure if I should say I’m sorry or you’re welcome. So that’s where I’m at…

Singing along,

Tajar
