Clik here to view.Just another day in paradise (as Captain Doug always says)! The cool morning gave way to a beautiful and sunny day! On the lake, the campers were having a mighty fine time in kayaks and canoes, as well as swimming and generally splashing around. To dry off, I popped into Ceramics to warm up by the kiln and scan the beautiful projects they were working on. After I warmed a bit, I ambled over to Archery to see how many of my camper friends had made bullseyes. There are some fine young bow shooters over there! One camper got a bullseye while I was watching from a tree! Amazing! I also stopped by and listened to the sweet sounds of the guitar and ukulele classes before heading up to the trees above the tennis courts.
After lunch and a decidedly restful Rest Hour, I popped by the Weaving Hut to check on their soft and artistic projects before I scampered up to the Dance Studio to see how far the dancers had progressed on their Final Show routine. I must say, the twinkled-toed dancers sure gave me a run for my money with my moonlight dolly-dilled dances and all! Before I got too carried away, I dropped by Jewelry to check out their fancy and shiny projects. I’ve had my eyes on a nice set of earrings, but I’m not sure how they’d look on a Tajar.
Tonight’s Evening Program was a Mystery Dinner Night, which turned out to be a dia de los muertos This is a Mexican version of our Memorial Day that celebrates love and respect for family members that have passed. The themed dinner was followed by a showing of the movie Coco! The costumes and makeup were hysterical, the flower arrangements (made by the campers) were beautiful, and the food was delicious—especially the tres leches cake made exclusively for this occasion by members of our kitchen staff—and the movie was a perfect way to end this beautiful day.

Always un poco loco,
