This morning, I stopped by the Ceramics Studio and saw that the campers were in the middle of making beautiful shaker instruments out of clay. In Arts and Crafts, the campers were working away on special marbled paper made with simple things like food coloring and shaving cream! It’s a wonder how creative campers can be.
In the afternoon, I scampered up to the Nature Nook where I found a Farm and Garden class in the midst of an intense game about pollination. Although the rain brought Landsports indoors, the campers took advantage of the new ping-pong table and played away in King Arthur’s Court all period. Along the lines of playing, as I was making my way to Tajar to see the knitting class, I couldn’t help but hear the sweet sounds of Crazy for You floating up from the Castle stage. I tapped along for a bit and applauded mightily once the actors had finished their run.
Tonight’s Evening Program was Talent Night, and there was an astounding array of talents that the campers showed off. From tumbling to singing to dancing, the campers looked right at home onstage showing everyone their hidden passions and talents. We’ve certainly got a gifted group!
