Dear Merrie-Woode Community,
On behalf of the Executive Director Search Committee, we wish to thank the Merrie-Woode alumnae, staff, parents and friends for your immeasurable help by engaging with us over the past few months. We are pleased to report that our work is on schedule, and we are so encouraged about the future of Camp Merrie-Woode.
As you know, our first step was to gather input from the Merrie-Woode community on key considerations to inform the search process. We are grateful to the many of you who took the time to provide your views, whether through the survey, a letter or email, or in a listening session. The level of engagement that flowed from the 715 survey responses and listening sessions was so heartening. Merrie-Woode is beloved by generations of women and families!
Themes emerged across the responses, providing clear direction for the Search Committee. Your perspectives helped shape the criteria that the Search Committee will use to identify, recruit, and evaluate candidates for the role of Executive Director(s) of Camp Merrie-Woode. Your input was also instrumental in helping us develop a position description for the next Executive Director(s). Below you will find a link to the CMW Executive Director(s) Position Description, which will be posted on camp and related job sites. Please read and then forward to those who might be interested in serving Merrie-Woode as Executive Director(s).

We also are grateful for the nominations of prospective candidates that you have offered. Please continue to send those to search@merriewoode.com.
Our search consultants, Carney Sandoe & Associates, now will engage in the recruitment process to help us attract a strong pool of candidates for the Committee’s consideration. Much of the Committee’s work going forward will be confidential, in order to maintain the integrity of the process, but we will provide updates whenever possible.
For now, we thank you for your thoughtful involvement and wish you a peaceful season of Advent and a very Merrie Christmas.
