Clik here to view. I was surprised to find that I had woken up a little later than usual this morning, only to realize that it was Chapel Sunday! I scurried over to the Dining Hall just in time to pick up the scraps of delicious cinnamon rolls and sausages the campers had left behind. Around 11 o’clock I heard a loud roar of applause coming from Chapel, and when I arrived I was delighted to find a wonderful Sunday service going on. The girls and all of our guests enjoyed hearing Glee Club sing songs and the choir sing our favorite songs of worship. The best though, was the silent performance by our surprise guest, Captain Rainbow, who performed the beautiful story of a bond between father and daughter.
After rest hour, I hurried down from my tree to find campers gathered out on the Waterfall Field with wooden boards and paint. I figured out they were painting their cabin plaques! It was such a sweet bonding experience to watch. Next door in the Dining Hall, campers were dressed head to toe in rainbow clothing and having a riveting game of Bingo ending in the distribution of rainbow colored candies.
At dinner time, I noticed campers running around in all black with their ties wrapped around their heads. What a curious sight to see all those ninjas running around! The girls did seem to have the best time with it. Soon afterwards, we all gathered in Castle to watch the traditional staff performance of Follow the Gleam. It was the perfect end to a Chapel Sunday.
Still smiling,
Tajar
